A treasurer tracks the money spent by an organization. Also known as a financial officer, their main duties are to record business transactions, monitor bookkeepers, and deposit funds. This job also includes creating quarterly reports, developing an annual budget, and assisting management with financial concerns. Qualifications include work experience in the field, as well as a bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or economics. A treasurer should have excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
