What does a school computer technician do?

As a school computer technician, you install hardware, software, and other tools and equipment for school computer systems. In this role, you may also troubleshoot problems, repair damaged machines, and fix other common problems with computer systems. Many school computer technicians work at the district level and travel to schools as necessary, though technology-focused schools may have a technician permanently on-site. This job often involves managing various accounts to ensure students cannot interact with school computers in ways not required for learning. Most school computer technicians work regular hours, but employers may ask you to work on-call when necessary.
