What does a retail store associate do?

Grocery stores, department stores, clothing shops, and other specialty stores are all classed as retail, so the duties of a retail sales associate can vary. In this career, your primary responsibilities are focused on customer service. Your job duties often include organizing various parts of the store, providing assistance with finding or reaching items, and cleaning the sales floor at the end of each workday. Depending on the employer, you may have other responsibilities, such as keeping shelves stocked, creating displays, removing out-of-date inventory, or bringing new merchandise onto the sales floor.
