What does a remote supply chain analyst do?

As a remote supply chain analyst, you work from home to analyze and evaluate a supply chain and the projected needs of a company. In this role, you may research and identify new suppliers, monitor the existing inventory of supplies, and use data to help predict when to order new inventory for the company. Other duties include using virtual office software to coordinate with other employees and outside contractors to ensure everyone is prepared for changes to the supply chain. For example, you may talk to warehouse managers if shipments increase to ensure they have enough personnel available during the expected arrival windows.
