JOB SUMMARY:

The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for supporting and optimizing supply chain operations through data analysis, forecasting, and cross-functional collaboration. This role analyzes purchasing, inventory, and vendor performance data to identify trends, mitigate risks, and drive operational efficiencies.

As a level above the Supply Chain Fulfillment Specialist, this role moves beyond transactional execution to focus on proactive planning, insights generation, and continuous improvement. The Supply Chain Analyst plays a key role in ensuring product availability, cost efficiency, and scalable supply chain processes across the organization.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze supply chain data, including purchasing, inventory levels, and fulfillment performance, to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities

  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards that provide visibility into key supply chain metrics (e.g., fill rate, lead time, cost, inventory turns)

  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity within supply chain systems and reporting tools

Demand Planning & Inventory Optimization

  • Support demand planning and forecasting activities to align supply with business needs

  • Monitor and optimize inventory levels, including safety stock and reorder points, to minimize stockouts and excess inventory

  • Identify risks related to demand variability and inventory positioning, and recommend adjustments

Vendor & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve supply issues and improve service levels

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, and other teams to align supply chain activities with business needs

  • Support vendor performance tracking and communication to ensure accountability and consistency

Process Improvement & Cost Optimization

  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of supply chain operations

  • Support sourcing and cost optimization efforts through data analysis and vendor performance insights

  • Contribute to initiatives that improve overall supply chain performance and reduce operational costs

Purchase Order & Category Management Support

  • Execute day-to-day purchase order review and approval processes, ensuring orders are accurate, compliant with procurement policies, aligned with approved suppliers, and processed in a timely manner to support operational needs.

  • Monitor purchasing activity, supplier performance, and order fulfillment, proactively identifying and resolving pricing discrepancies, delivery issues, invoice variances, and other procurement-related exceptions.

  • Support category management initiatives by maintaining supplier data, conducting spend and market analysis, tracking contract compliance, and providing recommendations to improve cost, quality, service, and overall procurement effectiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-4+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, inventory management, or a related field

  • Experience analyzing data and translating insights into actionable recommendations

  • Familiarity with supply chain concepts including demand planning, inventory management, and vendor coordination

  • Experience working with ERP systems(e.g.,NetSuite,PowerBi,Buyerquestorsimilar) preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required

Compensation range is $60,000-$80,000 based on qualifications, experience, and performance.
