What does a remote SharePoint consultant do?

As a remote SharePoint consultant, you work from home and assist companies with their use of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS). Depending on your skills and qualifications, you provide a variety of services, from custom software development to designing information governance processes. Your responsibilities include meeting with your clients to assess their existing SharePoint configuration, how employees use it, and what should be addressed to improve business processes. You migrate client systems and data from older versions, create workflows and dashboards, and set up document libraries. You also train users, and your duties often include providing support and troubleshooting usability issues.
