What does a remote patient advocate do?

Career: Patient Advocate Remote

Remote patient advocates provide support for patients to help them make educated decisions about their health care and to assist them in getting the services they need. Instead of working in the office, remote patient advocates communicate with clients from home or another location outside of the office with internet connectivity, though they may occasionally need to meet with the clients in person. As a remote patient advocate, you help patients schedule appointments with their doctors and specialists, offer information about their condition and treatment options, and check their insurance coverage. You may work for a hospital or health care facility, or you may be an independent contractor with private clients.
