What does a remote medical scheduler do?

A remote medical scheduler is a telecommute position in which you schedule or reschedule appointments for patients. Your responsibilities in this work from home position include helping patients choose the right type of appointments, assisting with cancellations, assisting with customer service at the doctor’s office, and providing information to patients about what to bring with them to their appointments, such as their insurance card or ID. Other duties include ensuring that the physician has enough time with each of their patients, maintaining databases, updating patient account information, and scanning or faxing patient histories to ensure updated records.
