This is a leadership role that supervises a casino's poker dealers and related employees and ensures that the facility follows local and state gambling regulations. Poker Managers will sometimes work directly with clients, especially during special events or when problems arise. They represent the gaming facility. Poker Managers are responsible for the venue’s financial assets and handle most of the money exchanges. They may help with marketing materials and event planning. Those in this role are responsible for hiring new poker dealers and other needed staff members and might assist in new employee training as well. On a day-to-day basis, they are present in the gaming room, keeping an eye out for potential issues and making adjustments accordingly.
