What does a performance improvement consultant do?

Performance improvement consultants analyze a company's current operations and find ways to improve them. Your goal is to make the staff more productive and efficient. As a performance improvement consultant, you observe current company production numbers, find gaps or inefficiencies within their processes, and provide advice and recommendations on how to reduce and eliminate production issues. Changes may include creating better lines of communication or installing new software that has features that better meet the company's needs. Organizations often call in these consultants during times of change in management or procedures. You may also need to conduct training sessions to help employees understand the new policies.
