A news operations manager works with newscast editors, directors, and photographers to implement new media technologies and workflows. As a news operations manager, your responsibilities are to develop compelling newscasts and manage the news coverage schedule. Your duties include cross-training news staff on new video production technologies, supervising video editing and remote broadcast newsgathering, troubleshooting technical issues, and making purchase requests for equipment and repairs.
