Job description

WHDH is hiring a full-time Operations Manager to lead our team of photographers, editors, technicians and directing staff. Candidates should be adept multitaskers with extensive TV newsroom experience. They should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, breaking news environment and able to organize and oversee daily news operations for a station that airs more than 12 hours of news each weekday. Will need to handle last-minute changes and equipment issues under pressure. Strong communication skills along with ability to mentor and develop staff and foster a supportive team environment is a must. Will work closely with News Director and other newsroom and station management. This position comes with attractive benefits and a company pension. The job is 100% on-site at the station’s downtown Boston office. WHDH-TV is an Equal Opportunity Employer.


The expected salary range for this position is $120,000 to $140,000 annually. The final offer will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's experience, knowledge and skills.
