A mold setter positions molds used to cast products and parts. People in this job perform the positioning and placement of the mold either by hand or using a machine. A mold setter may work with a variety of different materials, including plastic, metals, lead, and composites. They may also be responsible for controlling the flow of materials and coolant into the machine and monitoring the process to deal with any problems as they arise.
