How to become a mold setter?

Career: Mold Setter

The qualifications that you need to get a job as a mold setter include a high school diploma or a GED certificate. Since you sometimes work with automated machinery in this career, you need computer skills. Most employers provide on-the-job training for new employees. This training sometimes includes classroom or lab work. In some cases, companies prefer applicants with vocational training in manufacturing technology or a related field. However, several years of experience in the industry can usually make up for a lack of education. You need the skills to perform quality control inspections of products during a production run and reset the machine if required.
