What does a medical technical writer do?

As a medical technical writer, your job is to help create scientific documents that explain various aspects of health care and related technology to other people. In this role, you may define terminology, write an article based on guidelines set out by the buyer, or produce marketing or educational material. Medical technical writers often write for varying audiences, ranging from new medical students to highly-educated professionals. Therefore, the ability to understand the material and convince audiences you are an expert on the material is essential to this role. Some medical technical writers publish in professional medical journals instead of more broadly-available avenues.
