What does a hospital COO do?

As a hospital COO, your duties are to oversee daily hospital operations and HR decisions, coordinate different departments, and manage the administration of the different departments and the hospital as a whole. You typically report directly to the hospital’s chief executive officer and are an important part of their operating team. Your responsibilities also include ensuring patient satisfaction at your facility. You often meet with stakeholders and assess how well the hospital is doing at meeting its internal goals and serving the community.
