What does a game master do?

A game master or gamemaster oversees gameplay during a multiplayer video game, role-playing game, or another type of contest. Some employers refer to this position as a GM. Your duties include ensuring that all players follow the rules during the game. You organize gameplay and make sure that players know the rules before they join the contest. You officiate during the game, correct rule breaches when necessary, and moderate when disputes arise. You perform your responsibilities in person for live-action role-playing games and on a computer during video games. Attractions like escape rooms also have game masters.
