What does a field trainer do?

As a field trainer, your job is to travel to different areas as part of a program that teaches various soft skills. In most cases, these courses focus on teaching sales skills and leadership in private sessions with the staff of retail stores. You also spend time promoting business initiatives, developing new courses, and collaborating with product designers to produce instruction manuals. This position requires good judgment, the ability to work independently, and an open mind. Some employers may ask you to develop professional relationships with specific people, find new companies to train on your products, or secretly evaluate stores to see if they comply with your company's guidelines.
