What does a biomedical engineering technician do?

Biomedical engineering technicians, or biomedical equipment technicians, install and repair medical equipment at hospitals or other health care facilities. Your job duties and responsibilities include troubleshooting instrumentation problems, performing preventive maintenance, conducting safety inspections, testing new equipment, keeping inventory records, and instructing on or demonstrating the use of medical equipment. You will often have to explain technical matters to medical staff. You will need excellent communication and organizational skills.
