What are careers in radiography?

Career: Radiography

Careers in radiography are focused almost exclusively on the development, maintenance, and use of imaging equipment. Development careers focus on new imaging techniques, making equipment more reliable, and lowering the cost of manufacturing. Maintenance careers require specialized knowledge and may involve working with hazardous materials. Repairs on imaging equipment often occur on-site, but in some cases, it may need to go back to the factory. As a radiology technologist, you use the machines to perform scans as ordered by doctors. As a radiologist, you interpret x-ray, MRI, or ultrasound images and help doctors diagnose problems.
