What is a Weekend WIC RN?

A Weekend WIC RN is a Registered Nurse who works primarily on weekends for the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program. This role involves providing healthcare support, nutritional counseling, and education to eligible women, infants, and children. Weekend WIC RNs assess clients’ health needs, administer basic medical screenings, and guide families on nutrition and healthy practices. They also play a key role in outreach and support during weekend hours, when regular staff may not be available.
