What is a student tech?

Student Techs are students employed by educational institutions, typically colleges or universities, to assist with technology-related tasks. Their responsibilities often include providing technical support to faculty, staff, and fellow students, maintaining computer labs, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and sometimes helping with classroom technology setups. This role allows students to gain hands-on experience in IT while supporting their campus community. Student Techs usually work part-time and may receive training or supervision from full-time IT staff.
