What is a RAC RN?

A RAC RN, or Resident Assessment Coordinator Registered Nurse, is a specialized nurse responsible for overseeing the assessment and documentation of residents' care in long-term care facilities, such as nursing homes. Their primary role is to ensure accurate and timely completion of the Minimum Data Set (MDS), which is used for care planning and reimbursement.
