What is Project Thor?

Project Thor refers to a conceptual military weapons system proposed by the U.S. Air Force, often called 'Rods from God.' The project envisions deploying tungsten rods from orbit to strike ground targets with kinetic energy, simulating the impact of a meteor strike without the use of explosives.
