What is a point guard?

Point guards are basketball players who primarily handle the ball and direct the team's offense. They are responsible for bringing the ball up the court, setting up plays, and distributing the ball to teammates to create scoring opportunities. Point guards need excellent ball-handling, passing, and decision-making skills, as well as the ability to read defenses quickly. They often serve as the 'floor general,' leading the team both on and off the court.
