What is a new grad NP?

New Grad NPs, or New Graduate Nurse Practitioners, are individuals who have recently completed their nurse practitioner education and training and are entering the workforce as licensed NPs for the first time. They often face a transition period as they move from student to independent provider, learning how to apply their knowledge in real-world settings. New Grad NPs may work under supervision or mentorship initially and are expected to build clinical confidence and competence as they gain experience.
