What does an MRI operator do?

An MRI operator, also known as an MRI technologist, is responsible for operating Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanners to create detailed images of the inside of a patient's body. They work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality diagnostic images are produced. MRI operators also prepare patients for scans, explain procedures, position them correctly, and ensure their safety throughout the process. Additionally, they maintain the MRI equipment and follow strict protocols to prevent accidents or exposure to magnetic fields.
