What is a Magi?

Magi are traditionally known as wise men or priests, most famously referenced in ancient Persian and biblical contexts. They were regarded as scholars or astrologers who practiced religious rituals, interpreted dreams, and studied the stars. In the Christian tradition, the Magi are often associated with the 'Three Wise Men' who visited the infant Jesus, bringing gifts.
