A night nurse’s schedule will be outlined in the original agreement and contract drawn up between the nurse and the parents. Typically, a night nurse will work from roughly 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. Some nurses may begin their shifts as early as 8 p.m., depending on the needs of the parents employing them. Generally, a night nurse can expect to work a 40-hour week while contracted.
