How to become an OB Tech?

To become an OB/GYN (obstetrics/gynecology) technician, you must have a passion for helping others and the necessary postsecondary education. Most OB tech jobs require a CNA (certified nursing assistant) or CST (certified surgical technologist) certificate or some form of relevant postsecondary training and education. You study the basics of women’s health, surgical technology, anatomy, labor and delivery, and general healthcare to gain the knowledge and skills needed to fill the role. To become a CNA or CST, you must complete the appropriate requirements for certification and meet all state requirements.
