The primary qualifications for becoming an in-store demonstrator are a high school diploma and some experience in a customer service or retail environment. This job often requires the ability to memorize information about a product, discuss the needs of a consumer, and otherwise personally promote the sale of a product or service. Some in-store demonstrators need additional, industry-specific experience. This is particularly true for complex technical or food handling roles.
