How to become an entry level CCNA?

To become an entry-level CCNA, you need a bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or operations and management information science. Certification is completed through Cisco with recertification every three years. At the entry-level, on-the-job training provides you with necessary information, but you need to be proficient with fundamental networking concepts. Familiarity with routing, network services and protocols, switching, and DHCP systems, as well as common networking equipment and troubleshooting tools, is needed to be successful in this position. Additional qualifications include customer service, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to learn new information quickly.
