A volunteer manager is responsible for coordinating and supervising a group of volunteers. In this career, you perform a variety of duties and responsibilities to manage your volunteers and keep them on schedule, such as scheduling their shifts, coordinating volunteer projects, and checking in to make sure that they are meeting project deadlines. Depending on the position, you may recruit the volunteers as well. You also coordinate with other managers in the organization. There are no specific degrees for volunteer management, but having a degree in the sector in which you work is crucial. Additional qualifications include certification in volunteer administration (CVA) and strong leadership skills.
