To become a therapy manager, you need to have a high school diploma or a GED certificate. Some managers may have backgrounds as physical or occupational therapists, while others may have experience with the administrative and clerical side of running a medical or therapy office. If the job requires you to perform physical therapy duties in addition to your administrative role, you need to have the proper qualifications, such as a bachelor’s degree and certification, to be a PT. Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills are important.
