How to become a risk investigator?

Many employers prefer risk investigators who have a bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field, but some consider candidates who have extensive experience in dealing with banking fraud but do not have a degree. Because you handle sensitive data belonging to customers, you must pass a criminal background check. Prior roles working in insurance claims or finance research and knowing how to write Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) is a plus. You must be proficient in basic computer programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel. Additional qualifications include attention to detail and excellent communication and analytical skills.
