Though some relationship manager jobs require a master’s degree in business (MBA) or a related field, most employers accept a bachelor’s degree and significant job experience. You need to study the fundamentals of business administration and negotiation techniques and hone your customer service skills. You should accrue two to five years of experience in a related, entry-level position before searching for a relationship manager job. Exceptional organization and communication are a must, and some travel may be required.
