How to become a regional program manager?

Career: Regional Program Manager

The qualifications you need to become a regional program manager include a college degree and a few years of experience in program management or a related role. Most employers prefer you to have at least a bachelor’s degree in business, and having a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) can be advantageous. Employers may prefer you to have professional experience in their industry, demonstrating your ability to lead staff teams and administer programs. You may wish to pursue professional certification as a program management professional (PgMP), offered by the Project Management Institute. Being bi- or multi-lingual, or having familiarity with relevant languages, is also a plus.
