How to become a mixologist?

Career: Mixologist

A mixologist works at a bar, making drinks or developing new recipes. Qualifications vary but often include prior experience in a bartending position as well as knowledge of cocktail ingredients and premium spirits. There are bartending and mixology classes available, which can improve your skills. While certification and licensure options are available for bartenders, few states require it and most employers provide some amount of on-the-job training. Other useful job skills include customer service, strong verbal communication, time management, and knowledge of point of sales systems.
