How to become a meteorologist intern?

To become a meteorologist intern, you must complete a bachelor's degree in meteorology or atmospheric science, or be in the process of completing the degree and have an excellent grade point average. You must determine if you want to report the weather on TV or work in a research environment before choosing an internship to pursue. Most employers provide on-the-job training, but you need to be familiar with meteorology terminology. The American Meteorological Society is an excellent resource to use to stay current on industry activities. Other qualifications include proficiency with Microsoft Office, time management and multitasking skills, and the ability to learn in a fast-paced environment.
