How to become a hyperbaric technologist?

Career: Hyperbaric Technologist

In addition to training and certification as a medical professional, a career as a hyperbaric technologist requires extensive formal education and qualifications. Typically hyperbaric technologists are registered nurses (RNs), paramedics, and emergency medical technicians (EMTs) before pursuing a specialization in hyperbaric treatment technology. Once you have obtained medical certification, you can complete a hyperbaric technician training program approved by the National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology (NBDHMT). The certification requires you have 480 hours of experience in an internship focused on hyperbaric technology and therapy.
