How to become a foster parent?

Every state has its own foster care system, and requirements for becoming a licensed, approved, and certified Foster Parent will vary on a state-by-state basis. Many states require Foster Parents to be at least a certain age, prove that they have a source of reliable income, pass a criminal background, child protective services and caregiver check, have adequate space and a suitable home to foster a child or children, and complete required training. You may need to have experience raising children and how deal with issues of child neglect.
