How to become a driver education instructor?

The qualifications for becoming a driver education instructor vary, but every instructor needs driving skills in a car, truck, bus, or whatever vehicle in which they are training. You also need a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. If you teach in a school, you must obtain a bachelor’s degree and a teaching license. Each state has different requirements, but most require you to take a driving educators course and a course to prepare you for offering behind the wheel training. Additional certification is necessary for teachers who provide commercial vehicle training.
