How to become a depot manager?
Career: Depot Manager
In most cases, Depot Manager positions require a high school diploma, but you’ll have more job prospects if you obtain a bachelor’s degree in a field such as business or supply chain management. It’s important to have some prior work experience, preferably within the construction industry or warehouse distribution. A Depot Manager is a leadership position, so you’ll need to demonstrate clear communication skills and the ability to supervise employees. You may engage directly with clients, so customer service expertise is an asset. Depot Managers should also have some computer proficiency—especially with Microsoft software tools—and familiarity with OSHA standards.
