How to become a culinary instructor?

Career: Culinary Instructor

The most important qualification for a culinary instructor job is proven experience and skill as a professional chef. Many jobs also require an associate or bachelor’s degree from a culinary arts program. Obtaining additional certifications from professional organizations like the American Culinary Federation (ACF) and the National Restaurant Association (NRA) can also be good to have on your resume. You can find culinary instructor jobs at colleges, vocational schools, high school vocational programs, and culinary institutes. To be a teacher in a public middle or high school, you need coursework in education and teaching certification.
