How to become a CHFM?

Obtaining a position as a CHFM or A Certified Healthcare Facility Manager requires experience and post-secondary education. Qualifications for certification include a bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field and at least three years of experience working in a healthcare setting, such as a doctor’s office or clinic. An associate’s degree is acceptable with five years of experience in healthcare. Once you have these qualifications, you can take the CHFM test. Completion of the certification exam shows employers you are familiar with healthcare administration and have the ability to oversee operations.
