How to become a boiler inspector?

You need a high school diploma or a GED certificate to become a pressure vessel or boiler inspector. A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field is desirable if you want to pursue this career. On-the-job training and experience are needed to apply for certification. Both the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Inspectors (NBBPI) and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) offer these qualifications. Mechanical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are important.
