To become a bankruptcy manager, you need to become a board-certified bankruptcy specialist through the American Board of Certification. Having a bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or a similar field and experience working with delinquency is also required. Other qualifications include knowledge of U.S. Bankruptcy Code, especially Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 provisions, the ability to multitask, strong interpersonal communications skills, and a high level of conflict resolution skills.
