How to become a music manager?

There are no universal education requirements for music managers. It’s not uncommon for managers to succeed in the music business based on networking skills alone. However, if you want to work with a management agency, you will likely need a bachelor's degree in some form of business management. Some colleges may offer degrees that focus specifically on the music industry. Unless you start managing an artist or band before they take off, music manager is not an entry-level position. Gaining experience within an agency is crucial to building your career.
