How to become an investment advisor?

Career: Investment Advisor

To become an investment advisor, earn a bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field. Some employers prefer candidates with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Acquire a position as an investment advisor representative; this position works under a seasoned investment advisor and allows you to learn how to allocate funds and determine good investments. Once you have several years of experience, seek investment advisor positions. Certification is not required, but becoming a Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA) or obtaining a similar designation may make you a more valuable candidate in the job market.
