How do you become an elevator operator?

There are few formal qualifications to become an elevator operator in either the agriculture or hospitality industry. To perform your responsibilities as a grain elevator operator, you should have good physical stamina and strength to lift at least 50 pounds and perform a variety of physical tasks, such as lifting, stooping, hammering, and climbing ladders. Operators in the hospitality industry need excellent customer service skills and the ability to lift and move heavy objects.
